I’m Mauritz Botha. I live just north of the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco, where I design the future.

I’ve loved making things for as long as I can remember, and wrote my first program on a Sinclair ZX Spectrum. I had no idea what I was doing.

The only thing I loved more than computers as a kid was space. When I was in primary school, I climbed up the church clock tower and launched paper planes and plastic parts with handkerchiefs acting as parachutes.

I went on to study Electronic Engineering and later got graduate degrees in Computer engineering and business administration.

Today, I’m designing cloud platforms for a variety of different uses, including industrial control systems, machine learning, AI, and other sophisticated data platforms.
